After graduating from Florida State University in 1997, with degrees in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management and Marketing, Michelle started her career with Lucent Technologies.  During her time at Lucent, she ran all sales & marketing programs geared towards small to mid-size businesses and the national sales team incentive trips.  She was subsequently recruited to lead Participate.com’s business development efforts, building lasting relationships with Microsoft and several other Fortune 500 companies.  She leveraged her marketing and business development acumen in her following role at Carlson Marketing, where she solidified her data-driven approach in conjunction with needs-based creative to help grow client’s businesses.  Throughout her career, she has learned from many amazing mentors and peers who have greatly influenced her approach to marketing and people management.

Michelle took a hiatus from traditional corporate roles to pursue her passion for food.  She graduated with a Culinary Certificate from Kendall College in Chicago and later went on to acquire a small commercial kitchen to launch Key Lime Eats, a brand she developed.  Her key lime pies, cookies, and salsa products were all sourced and produced in Florida.  After having her children, Max & Maggie, she spent 7 years committed to the role of a full-time mom, serving as PTO President, and creating meals for non-profits in the Milwaukee area.  She is thrilled to be at GCF leveraging her wealth of experience to continue to drive business relationships and growth.
